Hello! My name is Meagan, I am a Nationally Certified Counselor who earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University in 2021. I am most passionate about working with late teens (17+) and young adults who are struggling with current or impending life transitions, including upcoming graduation, stepping into the career world, and/or navigating changing relationships. Are you currently struggling with the looming "what's next" question?" Change is difficult, and it is understandable if you are feeling unprepared, but you do not have to go through it alone! I chose this career path because I believe in the healing power of genuine connection through empathy. Everyone deserves to have their feelings be seen, heard, and validated. I believe we become disconnected from ourselves and others when we are not met with empathy. Life is difficult and true connection, with ourselves and others, can be a powerful healing tool! I strive to create an environment that fosters true connection. My therapeutic orientation is rooted in the Person-Centered approach. I provide a nonjudgmental environment, will meet you with empathy, and a positive regard. My focus is to help you reduce anxiety, develop coping strategies, improve communication, and help you align your values with your life. I am, also, trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitatzation and Reprocessing) and incorporate techniques from a Solution-Focused and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) approach. If you would like to know more about the services I offer, or if you believe I could be a good fit for your specific needs, please reach out and we can schedule a FREE 15-minute phone consultation.
