Training and Experience: Meg’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in sociology and women’s studies from the University of Northern Iowa, focusing on feminist theory, eating disorders, and relationship violence. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from St. Ambrose University in Iowa, with a generalist specialty. Over the past 30 years, Meg has cultivated a wealth of experience working with children, families, couples, and adults across diverse settings, including crisis services, community organizations, private practice, and higher education. To deepen her ability to support clients, Meg has achieved certifications as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP II) and in EMDR therapy. She has also received advanced training in therapeutic modalities, including somatic processing, dialectical techniques, internal family systems, and mindfulness-based approaches. For couples counseling, Meg incorporates Gottman Method Level II techniques.
