I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have been providing client-centered therapy in the greater Charlotte area since 2018. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help increase client awareness of how thoughts affect feelings which affect behavior. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients increase psychological flexibility, emotionally regulate and find inner peace. I love taking a non-directive approach when it fits the client and the situation. There is something beautiful that happens when we express our thoughts and feelings by using methods other than our words. Breakthroughs can happen in the most unique ways. Most of my clients may be struggling under the challenges of life. This may result in stress, anxiety, depression, emotional distress, relationship issues or just the overall feeling of being stuck. I believe the counseling process is one of self-discovery, therefore I create a supportive and safe environment for clients to work through their concerns. I emphasize the counselor and client collaborating to make reasonable and specific goals, creating clear and specific treatment plans and empowering clients to make needed changes.
