I am Megan, an Oregon licensed psychologist who provides individual therapy for adults. I work well with individuals looking for a compassionate relationship to explore their inner worlds with curiosity. Common challenges that work well with my approach include anxiety, depression, grief, negative self-talk/harsh inner-critic, relational issues, family of origin issues, parenting challenges, perfectionism, and trauma. I am a good fit if you are looking for someone to listen intently and empathically, support you in self-discovery and engage in meaning-making. I have in-depth experience working with highly sensitive people, healthcare workers and others in helping professions, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and neurodiversity (particularly late-diagnosed autistic adults). In therapy, I show up as me and bring my humanness. I will laugh, cry and celebrate with you. I take an active role in our relationship and although I do a lot of listening, I also bring a deep presence, warmth, and playfulness to our time together. I utilize psychodynamic, emotionally focused therapy, and internal family systems with a strong focus on attachment. I hold interest in supporting you deepening contact with your emotional experiences to find a sense of aliveness and acceptance. I encourage self-reflection and exploration of how past experiences are impacting you presently. I am strengths-focused and strive to support you in honoring and celebrating who you are uniquely. My hope is that our work together will shift your inner voice to be more gentle and self-compassionate. As many therapists have transitioned to a “drop-in” scheduling approach with no guarantees that you will be seen consistently, I hold a permanent recurring time for you. Our relationship is foundational to the work we do together, and it is my hope that our consistency will build trust and relational security to support the vulnerable work you’re doing
