I have experience working with people with a wide variety of ages, cultures, mental health diagnosis, and life struggles. With a person-centered approach, I can work with almost any individual in order to help them guide themselves towards their therapeutic goals. I employ comprehensive and eclectic approaches to therapy by integrating evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and positive psychology into her practice. I'm well versed in practicing with a trauma informed approach. I received my M.A. in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I believe that the relationship built by the therapeutic alliance it can invoke healing, change, and growth. I create a safe space for my clients that fosters their ability to empower themselves. I recognize that through self-reflection, clients can reveal their strengths, areas of improvement, and self-destructive patterns. In realizing these, I help guide clients to foster positive change. I'm passionate about making therapy a pleasant experience through openness, acceptance, and humor.
