You only have one body and accepting it might seem impossible. Many people turn to food, exercise, perfectionism, and anxiety to cope. However, they find themselves caught in an unbreakable cycle of unhappiness. Speaking with a therapist helps you to identify your unhelpful patterns, honor your strengths, create a toolbox of strategies, and learn to speak to yourself with compassion. My specialty is in the treatment of eating disorders, body image, anxiety, perfectionism and low self-esteem. Eating disorders rarely exist in isolation. I am experienced in treating co-occurring symptoms including but not limited to social challenges, family issues, depression, ADHD, and trauma. Each person is unique. We will customize your treatment to you. Leaning on evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and creative arts to guide our work together. I anchor my practice in Health at Every Size and take a holistic approach to well-being. I enjoy working with pre-teens, teens, young adults and adult clients. I have worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care for eating disorder treatment, as well as school based and emergency services. In addition to providing individual and family services, it is my mission to provide education, consultation and advocacy for eating disorders in my community. I would be honored to be a resource for my fellow practitioners, educators, and medical professionals in the community seeking eating disorder support. I am available for supervision and consultation. There is no day but today to interrupt the cycle & become empowered to be you. I would be honored to be a part of your story of accepting & loving yourself. I am currently accepting new clients. Click the bright green 'Contact' button at the top of this page.
