Megan Best is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. She earned her undergrad and graduate degree in Social Work at University of North Carolina Wilmington. She also completed her Addiction Specialist training and certification at UNCW. Megan has provided individual, couples, group, family, substance use intensive outpatient group therapy, and harm reduction group therapy; treating adults experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders. My mission is to provide clients with a space that they can feel safe to be totally authentic. I believe that curiosity and compassion have the power to change our world, and you’ll see that integrated in my style of therapy. My approach to treatment is to expand your window of tolerance and trust yourself to handle the complexities of life. We will explore your goals and challenge your thoughts, while also using humor and meditation practices throughout our time together.
