Introduction

I partner with individuals who want to feel more connected with their values and the people they share their lives with. I have helped individuals of various ages and backgrounds navigate the complexities of addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and burnout. As a clinical social worker, I employ evidenced based practices, including mindfulness, ACT, CBT, DBT, and eco-therapy. My approach to healing is rooted in naming the strengths my clients take for granted. I infuse every session with motivational interviewing, curiosity, empathy and humor. Education & Experience I earned my Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois, in Chicago. My career experience spans from residential addiction rehabilitation, intensive outpatient dual diagnosis (mental health & addiction) programing, and non-profit management. I hold Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) license and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. Become a Client Select the Request Appointment button and we will set up a time for a 15-minute consultation call. What to Expect • Intake— the first two sessions are spent getting to know each other and identifying what you’d like to work on. You will complete some assessments and intake paperwork. Together we will create a treatment plan. • Treatment planning— this is when we identify specific goals and make a plan and timeline to achieve them. • Collaborate— therapy is an ongoing collaboration between my clients and myself. I also collaborate with parents, teachers, physicians, and more when appropriate and with client consent to provide well-rounded care. Online Sessions Find a quiet space where you can be undisturbed. Grab some headphones, and I will get our conversation started promptly. Walk & Talk Walk-and-Talk sessions are held after the initial online intake session. We will agree on a location that is safe, has a reasonable amount of privacy, and is rich in ecological diversity (i.e. the Lake Front Path, outdoor running tracks, paths, trails in the Chicago Forest Preserves, along the Chicago River). We will walk for 55 minutes. Medical waiver will be required.
