While I believe every person is the ultimate expert in themselves, I think therapy provides a powerful opportunity for partnership and guidance. In a safe, nonjudgmental space, people are able to explore new elements of their lives and selves, to identify goals and values, and to examine the ways current patterns are either supporting or hindering those goals. My job as a therapist is to help create that safe space with you, to encourage you along your process of exploration, and to provide reflection and guidance where it may be helpful. I have worked with children, adolescents, & adults in individual, group, & family therapy settings, providing support and diagnostic clarification in areas such as anxiety, depression, & LGBTQ issues. I believe in a collaborative, relational approach to counseling, also often incorporating mindfulness practices and elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe everyone has strengths and unique, valid experiences—in therapy, I am committed to making sure that you feel heard and that your perspective is valuable. I would be honored to work with you in exploring your goals, and strengthening the skills you need to move toward the life you want most.
