Welcome. I am a clinician with over 25 years of experience specializing in relational attachment and trauma. I am trained in a number of experiential therapies. From an Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy framework I integrate Mindfulness, Parts Work and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I also offer an affordable 8 week class on understanding emotions, defenses and internal states. This class can be taken on its own or as a supplement to individual therapy and is designed to provide you with lifelong tools. EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY How can experiential therapies help? Experiential therapies help us slow down and listen more deeply to ourselves and our emotions. There can be a sense of diving beneath the chaotic nature of the mind to contact parts of the self that are more resourced and enlivened. If you have ongoing internal conflict, anxiety and depression symptoms, stress in your relationships or feel like something is missing in your life, experiential therapies may be for you. ABOUT ME PERSONALLY I bring to my practice a lifetime of personal experience with my own healing. I am influenced and supported by Psychodynamic Psychotherapy as well as Mindful Meditation, Yogic and Shamanic Traditions and Psychedelic Journey work. Personal work has gifted me the perspective that each of us brings something important to the world and that we all have resources within waiting to be recognized. We truly are "built to be better than fine." I feel grateful to take part in my clients' lives and am continually inspired by the uniqueness of people. What I enjoy most about being a psychotherapist is helping clients see themselves the way I see them-beautiful and strong in their own ways. INVITATION Whoever you are and whatever your background and orientation I want to understand what makes you, you and what calls you to therapy at this time. Please feel free to reach out to me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to ask questions or just get a feel for me and how I work. We can easily figure out if working together would be a good fit for you at this time. EDUCATION Dartmouth College. BA Lewis and Clark College.
