Introduction

Seeking support is no easy task. It can take time to find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable, understood, and seen. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you feel able to open up authentically and take (often challenging) steps toward meaningful change. As a licensed clinical psychologist (CA License 32912), I primarily work from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework with a strong self-compassion focus. My approach is warm, flexible, and collaborative. What resonates for one person may not for another; I aim to find what works for each of my clients based on their unique experiences, values, and strengths. In addition to my private practice, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in Stanford University's School of Medicine where I provide psychotherapy, teach and supervise psychiatry residents and psychology fellows, and conduct research. At Stanford, I provide care through the Anxiety and Depression Adult Psychological Treatment (ADAPT) Clinic, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Clinic, and Stanford Mental Health for Asians Research and Treatment (SMHART) Clinic. In terms of education and training, I completed my doctoral studies at Florida State University and my internship and postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I do not currently accept insurance. However, as an out-of-network provider, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If you feel that I may be a good fit for you, please contact me for an initial no-cost phone consultation.
