Welcome! Melisa Holdway is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and the founder/owner of Sweet Relief Counseling Services. She has a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors and is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider. She practices therapy that is rooted in existential theory which emphasizes that meaning is the substance of our lives and gives us a reason to do what we do. It focuses on the fact that we are both free and responsible simultaneously giving us every opportunity to act from choice. She is eclectic in style so that each session is tailored to the client in a person-centered approach. She promotes a person-centered approach within the practice so that each client receives attentive and individualized care.
