Thank you for stopping by! My name is Melissa Barrios. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Spiritualist. I started my private practice, Healing Without Limits, in 2021 to offer a space for BIPOC to decolonize their healing journey, reclaim their power, honor their voice and truth, lean into their authentic selves, not have to code switch and explain cultural norms, and connect to Ancestral wisdom and healing. As a First Gen Latina, I can wholeheartedly relate to and understand several First Gen dynamics. I enjoy working with BIPOC, First Generation Latine, and Second Generation Latine. I specialize in working with people who are: -healing generational trauma and breaking cycles -navigating challenging relationships with their loved ones -feeling exhausted of being the black sheep of the family and/or the responsible go to one of the family -struggling to honor their voice and needs -navigating stress and life changes -wanting and needing a more spiritual and decolonized approach in therapy Our work will be collaborative and consensual. Yes, I am a therapist but you know yourself best. I am here to support you, offer you different perspectives and tools, have candid conversations, and walk along your side as you navigate life lifing. I am a Healer before I am a therapist so I center my Ancestral wisdom, spiritual gifts, training and skills in internal family systems (IFS), and sprinkle in various modalities as there is no such thing as a one size fits all approach in healing.
