Introduction

Overall, you’re doing okay. You manage your day to day life well. From the outside it looks like you’ve got it together. But on the inside you’re suffering. Perhaps you had a rough childhood or experienced trauma later in your life. You made it through and can’t understand how the past could still be affecting you. Perhaps your caregivers were unavailable to meet your needs for safety, love, and acceptance. Maybe they struggled with their own mental illnesses and addictions. Or you survived outright child abuse or neglect. You’re a seeker. You’ve tried to “fix it” on your own through self-help, meditation, or talk therapy and while you’ve gained valuable insights, the healing hasn’t happened and you just can’t put it all behind you. IFS therapy can help you finally feel the self-acceptance, love, and forgiveness that can help you feel joy again. How it works: Together, we will get to know your inner system and befriend and understand the conflicting parts inside you. We will slowly and safely explore the reasons that your protective parts may be holding you back (as it turns out, they’re desperately trying to help!). You will experience co-regulation with me as your trusted helper and we will reach a state of safety that allows the healing energy of your core “Self” (in IFS terms) to heal your wounded parts. In essence, you heal yourself. You will learn skills and feel integration that will serve you long past your time in therapy. IFS seems like a simple and elegant process of healing, but you need an experienced guide who can help you when you’re feeling stuck. I believe in this therapy because it works for me. The healing I experienced from IFS individual and relationship therapy was what made me decide I wanted to be an IFS therapist and help others. I am Level 3 trained by the IFS Institute, as well as its relationship counseling model Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO). Please book a free consultation or reach out to me so we can talk about how we might work together.
