I see the counseling process as a journey of exploration, realization, and integration. My role as a counselor is to come alongside individuals and couples to recognize what’s contributing to an undesired state of being, identify what they want and is possible, and then guide them with effective frameworks and practical tools to achieve their desired outcome. I enjoy working with individuals and couples. I operate primarily from a Coherence Therapy perspective, yet integrate other modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Ego State Therapy ('parts work'), and somatic experiencing. I specialize in single, complex and attachment-related trauma. My theoretical perspective is that your presenting symptoms actually make 'coherent' sense, meaning they once served a beneficial and needed purpose to your survival and well-being (yes, we are likely talking about your childhood) but are now causing problems in your present and impeding your desired future. So let's get to the root of it. I have been married for 15+ years and have two active and creative pre-teen/teenage boys. In my personal time, I enjoy celebrating my boys in their respective sporting events, playing board games, watching a good drama, and spending quality time with my husband.
