Melissa Urrunaga is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing since 2001. Melissa works to establish a safe place where clients feel free to share their story, explore their strengths and challenges and nurture skills that will promote wholeness. Melissa partners with clients to develop treatment goals that help them reach a sense of balance and wholeness, both within themselves and their outside world. Melissa treats individuals, families and adolescents with various symptoms and diagnosis including: · Depression · Anxiety · Relationship Issues · Self Esteem Issues · Grief/Loss · Crisis management · PTSD · Adjustment Disorders · Family relational issues Melissa received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology & History at Virginia Wesleyan University and her Masters Degree at Central Connecticut State University. Melissa holds a Post Master's Certificate in Clinical Issues in Adoption from University of Connecticut. Melissa is a Connecticut Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Connecticut Counseling Association. Melissa is also a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a member of the Yoga Alliance.
