For as long as I can remember, I have always had a heart for connecting with people. Having experienced trauma and grief throughout my own life, I knew I wanted to use my personal challenges in some way to bless others. Counseling allows me to empathize with my clients in a profoundly genuine and sincere way while helping them navigate the inevitable stressors of life. My goal as a counselor is to foster the safest environment where my clients feel validated and understood. Assisting individuals in recognizing their strengths and potential in the midst of their struggles is a beautiful process that I do not ever take for granted. I truly want every client I serve to recognize their worth and value and will walk alongside each as they work to achieve their best self. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. I work with teenagers and adults experiencing difficulties such as grief, anxiety, depression, divorce, conflict resolution, and substance abuse. I want to help individuals identify and understand the source of their pain or struggle and assist them in finding solutions that can restore their sense of joy, hopefulness, and peace. My techniques incorporate the power of positive thinking, mindfulness, and utilizing effective coping skills. The role I adore most in life is being a momma to my three amazing daughters, Ella, Maddie, and Ava. They provide me with an abundance of joy and are the reasons why I’m almost always wearing a smile! No matter the inescapable struggles we will all face, if we take the time to notice, this life is filled with innumerable blessings and genuine kindness. As a counselor, I hope to continue my part in sharing that with others.
