It can be daunting to navigate the mental health sphere if someone did decide to seek guidance from a professional. I am happy to work with anyone who has interest in self exploration and critical examination of themselves by showing appreciation and respect to their emotional pain in contrast to categorizing it as illness. Taking an active and collaborative role in therapy, we work together to increase awareness of ourselves and our thoughts, allowing access to our inner peace. My preferred treatment technique though taking techniques from many schools of thought is a uniquely modified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model. With CBT and our therapeutic alliance, we learn to begin creating awareness of our thoughts and our conscious, and build on challenging our self-defeating beliefs to no longer identify with our internal narrative. I also prescribe medications when indicated.
