Hi, I’m Micah Bolden, a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Bold Steps Therapy in Dallas, Texas. I specialize in working with work with adults, teenage boys (13+), and families in reaching their goals, managing anger and anxiety, changing behaviors, and developing new ways of thinking. I also work with families to help increase communication patterns and work through family conflict. My areas of focus include: > Men's Issues > Faith exploration and questioning > Foster Care and Adoption > Family Conflict and Generational Trauma > Emotional Regulation Before starting my private practice, I spent years working in intensive outpatient, nonprofits, criminal justice, homeless services, and foster care. I’ve seen firsthand how life’s challenges can weigh people down—but I’ve also seen the strength it takes to push forward. That’s what therapy is about: not just surviving, but finding a way to thrive. I believe therapy should be real, honest, and even a little funny sometimes. In our sessions, expect a mix of straightforward conversations, practical tools, and maybe even a few jokes along the way. Growth happens when we feel comfortable being ourselves, and I work hard to create a space where you can do just that.’ At Bold Steps Therapy, my clinical practice is pro-Black, culturally competent, gender and sexuality inclusive, and rooted in real accountability and progress. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy, tailored to your unique goals. Whether you’re working through past trauma, improving relationships, or just trying to figure out your next steps, I’m here to support you. Therapy isn’t about me having all the answers—it’s about helping you uncover the strength and clarity you already have. If you’re ready to do the work, let’s take bold steps forward—together.
