I'm proud to say I've been in the counseling field in some capacity for the last 20 years. I've been in private practice for the last 15, and I can safely say I do what I love. I have both a master's and Ph.D. in counselor education and I tend to take a very humanistic, balanced, thought-driven approach to working with people. I work with a range of clients from all over, and I'm proud to say that I think my approach of being open, true to who I am, humorous, self-effacing, honest, compassionate, and flexible works quite well for those clients whom I have the honor to work with. Working with me means looking at your life's experiences - your good and your not good - and reconciling how, why, and when those events have an impact on you today. We will make these connections, make sense of them, and then place them back into your life's narrative with more knowledge, more self-compassion, more enthusiasm for your own emotional potential. Hopefully, we have a laugh or two on the way.
