“I AM TIRED. I didn’t know being a mom would be so hard, and my relationship with my partner kind of sucks now." "My childhood was less than ideal, and I don’t want to do to my kids what my parents did to me, but I don’t know what else to do. I feel like I’m stuck on a treadmill. My life just isn’t fun anymore. So, I drink a bit and smoke to deal with my anxiety, even though I know it’s not great for me or my kids." "I’ve done therapy before, but I keep ending up feeling the same after a while. I’d like to say I have hope for happiness, but right now, it’s all I can do to keep my head above water.” Does this sound like you? I'm an LCSW in private practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts specializing in working with women, particularly during pregnancy and early parenting. I have experience in trauma therapy, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I'm a creative, solution-focused, open-minded, skilled social worker who helps clients make life-changing shifts, big and small. In addition to talk therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy strategies, I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Ketamine/Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. Schedule an introductory session with me to learn more, or read on for more information. ACCELERATED RESOLUTION THERAPY I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for a variety of mental health symptoms including trauma and PTSD. ART is an eye movement therapy in which you change the distressing images you see in your mind to more positive ones in order to address symptoms quickly. It can be done with minimal talking about the trauma, which many people find helpful. You can use ART as a brief intervention, or incorporate ART sessions into your ongoing therapy program. You can learn more about ART at acceleratedresolutiontherapy.com. KETAMINE AND PSYCHEDELIC-ASSISTED THERAPY I am a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider through IPI; trained in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and working with non-ordinary states of consciousness. To address depression, addiction, and trauma, I currently offer preparation and integration sessions for people receiving ketamine treatments that don't include a therapeutic component, such as ketamine infusion clinics and online prescribers. Additionally, for harm reduction, integration sessions are available for people who have used a psychedelic substance recreationally, such as psilocybin or MDMA, and desire support after the experience. Please be aware that I cannot advise about the use of illegal substances or sit with people while they use them. SERVICES BY TELEHEALTH, IN-PERSON, OR IN-HOME I offer telehealth to people throughout CT and MA. In-person sessions take place in Bloomfield, CT. In-home sessions have an additional travel fee and are available in West Hartford, East Hartford, Hartford, Avon, Canton, Simsbury, Bloomfield, Farmington, Plainville, Newington, New Britain, Rocky Hill, Glastonbury, Manchester, and Windsor. Services are self-pay. I am happy to work with you to make services affordable. BIOGRAPHY A bit about my background - I graduated from UConn in 2018 with an MSW and in 2019 with an MPH. I have advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy and I am certified in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I've been a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator since 2009. I also am an alumni consultant for the Urban Service Track program based at UConn. I'm an experienced mother of three with skills in working with kids on the autism spectrum and navigating the education system. Previous employment included community health work with pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders, and Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy for at-risk teens and their families.
