Dr. Michal ‘Mica’ Levi is a California Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Mica earned a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY and holds an Undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Before specializing as a DBT/CBT clinician, She has had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, with a wide range of psychiatric disorders in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and community settings. Dr. Levi is experienced in individual, family, and group therapy, using Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Interpersonal approaches. She is also qualified in crisis management, Prolonged Exposure for the treatment of trauma, and psychological, and neuropsychological assessments. As a CBT/DBT clinician, Dr. Mica focuses on providing her clients with a safe and non-judgmental space, where they work together to identify stressors, feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions that cause the pain in their lives. While focusing on strengths, clients are encouraged to substitute old ineffective behaviors with new validating and reality based thoughts, emotion regulation skills, and effective communication. We believe that transformation is possible by living a Meaningful life, enriched by Insight and Connections, while being Aware of the moment without Judgment.
