I am a fully licensed professional counselor in the state of Illinois. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Purdue University and my master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have been working in the field of psychology for over 11 years. More recently, I have taken trainings and became a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. I spent the beginning of my professional years working in a community mental health setting where I facilitated groups and delivered individual therapy to adults with chronic and severe mental health issues. In 2015, I started to focus my career on assisting individuals struggling with drug addiction who were involved in the legal system by helping to develop and implement a Drug Court Program in Kendall County, IL. While I worked with Kendall County’s Drug Court team, I also began my career in private practice. Since then, I have had over six years of experience working in private practice where I specialize in treating mood disorders, substance abuse, relational conflict, grief and life transitions. I strive to create an open and safe environment for clients so that they can discuss and work through challenging issues in their lives. I combine evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and client-centered therapy to help empower clients to make positive changes in their lives in an effort to improve their overall quality of life. I see individual clients aged 12 and up, as well as couples.
