I am a licensed counselor, by the state of North Carolina (LCMHC, #10012). I have received a Masters in Theological Studies and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling. I am a member of the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors), a certified sex addiction therapist, and trained in CBT, EMDR, and MI. I administer assessments that measure sexual compulsive behavior, partner betrayal trauma, and money/work addiction. In working with me, you will make progress, decreasing self-defeating behaviors and making the appropriate changes in your life, which may be managing anxiety and depression, resolving trauma, challenging shame, and/or ending sexual compulsivity and addictive behaviors. Based on client’s requests, prayer and scripture can be incorporated into sessions. Prior to becoming a counselor I worked as a middle school teacher, and high school counselor. I received the honor of being a teacher of the year finalist and won the Faculty of the Year Award, as an adjunct professor. As a professor, I taught human development and counseling courses. I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, volunteering at Church, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy working with The Oaks Therapeutic Community, providing counseling services.
