I began my social work career in Child Protective Services, working primarily with children who had experienced sexual abuse. After receiving my Masters in Social Work in 2004, I took a position as a public health social worker, providing counseling to individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds, including children with disabilities, children and adults with HIV/STDs, and I provided self-management classes for adults with chronic illnesses. In 2013, I took a position as a therapist and program manager at a residential treatment facility for adolescents who had experienced complex trauma including sexual abuse. After being diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in 2015, my focus shifted back to helping those who have experienced Lyme and similar life-altering health conditions, including other tick-borne diseases, auto-immune disorders, POTS/Dysautonomia, MCAS, chemical sensitivities, CIRS, and mold illness. I have advanced training in nutrition and integrative medicine (CMHIMP), which allows me to provide mental health services with a holistic, trauma-informed, mind-body approach. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and stress related to living with chronic illness. I partner with my clients on a journey to improved physical and mental health - a new beginning.
