I am a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQ+ community who also celebrates her sobriety and recovery daily. I have been sober for over 18 years and have struggled with depression, anxiety and belonging since age sixteen. I frequent the other side of the couch as a client since my first experience with a therapist in college. I understand what it takes to ask for help and to know when all the things that used to work are not working anymore. On most days you can find me on my yoga mat, on my bike, on a long run, painting or putting together LEGOS. I use each of these to help stay in the moment and in each mile of life. Education: I earned my BA in Psychology and Masters of Social Work from CSU, San Bernardino. I also hold a Masters of Public Administration from National University. I have had the privilege to work with severally mentally ill adult clients, foster youth, LGBTQ youth, families with kids struggling with addiction and mental health issues, dual diagnosis, adults with grief and loss, children and adolescents with trauma.
