I work with individual adults and couples to help them find meaning, connection, clarity, and confidence amid life transitions—such as career changes, marriage and divorce, having or launching children, recovery from trauma or addiction, aging, and loss. My primary aim is to be fully present for clients, offering curiosity, careful listening, non-judgment, and authenticity. Through growing awareness and acceptance of what is, in dialog with a compassionate “other,” we can change our relationship to it and begin to shift our patterns, question our assumptions, and cultivate the agency to live authentically. My theoretical approach is integrative and tailored to the individual client, drawing on AEDP, Attachment Theory, Existential Theory, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy. In addition, I have practiced mindfulness and meditation and studied Buddhism for many years, which informs my approach to therapy—particularly the emphasis on nonjudgmental awareness of our experience, detaching from the cognitive distortions that can keep us stuck, and practicing self-compassion. I look forward to working with you as a witness, ally, co-author, and catalyst.
