Hi! I'm Mimi, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Intern passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of relationships, personal growth, and emotional well-being. My journey into therapy started with my deep curiosity about human connection and the ways our upbringing shapes how we relate to ourselves and others. Growing up in a household where conflict was common, I once avoided confrontation, believing disagreements were inherently negative. Through my training and personal growth, I’ve come to understand that healthy conflict is essential for deeper connection—an insight I integrate into my work with clients today. I specialize in working with individuals who are exploring self-identity, processing childhood trauma, and learning to set boundaries in relationships. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, such as marriage, parenthood, or separation, and I support them in reconnecting with themselves while balancing the demands of their roles. I also work with couples seeking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or break out of unhealthy relationship patterns. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients recognize and heal the different "parts" of themselves—whether it's the people-pleaser, the perfectionist, or the part that struggles with self-worth. I believe self-awareness is a powerful tool, but true transformation happens when we learn to sit with discomfort, process emotions, and cultivate self-compassion. If you're feeling stuck in old patterns, struggling to set boundaries, or navigating the emotional weight of relationships, I’d love to support you on your journey. My goal is to create a safe and validating space where you can explore, heal, and grow into the fullest version of yourself. Ready to take the next step? Let’s start this journey together.
