My therapeutic style utilizes judgement free curiosity and compassion to promote awareness, growth, and healing. I am an eternal learner in the field, and in life in general. I continually seek knowledge regarding the most current data, research, and treatment interventions. This translates to my work by bringing you the benefit of that knowledge, which includes current innovations, constantly evolving research, and developing therapeutic interventions in the field. My therapeutic approach utilizes both insight-oriented interventions, as well as the development of skill based techniques, derived from proven data and research outcomes. This collaborative approach creates treatment focused not just on insight and understanding, but also on creating tangible skills, resulting in the opportunity to make the changes you are looking for in your life, based on your own strengths and needs. Therapy focuses on empowering you to make meaningful and authentic change. I am committed to seeking that change alongside you. Change is possible for everyone with the right tools, awareness, focus, and support. I will provide a thorough clinical assessment and we will develop a personalized treatment plan to assure we are working towards your identified goals. Therapy is helpful both when we are in crisis or when we are working to avoid crisis. You don't have to live in your struggles, effective change and help are available I am grateful for the clinical training and experiences that I have acquired throughout my 20 years in the field. I have an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work with an emphasis on interpersonal practice from the University of Michigan. I hold current active clinical licensure in good standing in the states of Michigan and Colorado. My clinical experience has allowed me to accrue expertise across multiple levels of care, and varying degrees of acuity. This has afforded me the opportunity to develop a skill set capable of assessing and treating a large scope of symptoms and diagnoses. I completed my clinical requirements in graduate school in the inpatient psychiatric unit at Hawthorn Center in Northville, MI. I worked as a clinical therapist at KidsPeace, a national residential program outside of Philadelphia, PA. I worked as an outpatient therapist for St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, MI. During my affiliation with the hospital, I served on the URQI quality control committee focused on evaluating patient experiences and efficacy of treatment outcomes, to improve overall quality of patient care. I have been in private practice for the last 10+ fulfilling years. I'm grateful for a diverse career that has equipped me to confidently practice with an eclectic and expansive approach to treatment interventions facilitating meaningful therapeutic change for my clients.
