I identify as a Togolese immigrant, daughter, sister, fur-mom, and wife in an interracial marriage. These identities influence how I show up as a therapist and constantly evolve daily. My challenges have given me the insight and desire to work with individuals, couples, and families through their hurdles and help them find what is and isn’t their story. I believe in assisting individuals, couples & families struggling to find their voice through their different backgrounds and feeling stuck and tied down to societal expectations or their past maladaptive patterns. Due to our world's unique makeup, I use an integrative approach with my clients, which allows me to use modalities that best suit their needs. I value providing warmth, kindness, empathy, and directness when needed. Suppose you are looking to find your inner voice, concerned about your cultural identity or interracial relationship, or struggling to show up as yourself. I hope this little bio reflects my passion for working with humans of all different backgrounds and the depth of sacredness I hold for being a part of your stories. I value approaches encompassing how humans show up in the world and learning to understand how we want to create change. I utilize modalities that help capture the cultural messages we receive throughout our lives from families, communities, and social institutions. My framework allows clients to feel heard and instills a sense of visibility that will empower and guide them in claiming their stories. I am eager to connect with you and begin our journey together. Please feel free to reach out, and I look forward to the opportunity to support you.
