Everyone’s mental health journey looks and feels different. Like you, I’ve had my own journey. This means you can trust me when I say that I know it is hard. I know that it can be scary and I know that you need to feel safe in this process. I am here to walk next to you, to cheer you on and sometimes to help pick you up when you fall. I am honored that my job allows me to help others on their journey and it is a responsibility that I take very seriously. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults and couples. I work with my clients to treat depression, anxiety and trauma. I also work with clients to process issues related to divorce, parenting, relationship concerns, life changes and the challenges that come with having a family member in the military or law enforcement. My experience treating PTSD includes working in a partial hospitalization program and being certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I believe that it is important that my clients feel I am a good fit for them both in my treatment approach and in personality, that is why I offer a free 20 minute consultation before starting therapy. License, Certification and Memberships: Master’s of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist- License number 3303 Certified in Prolonged Exposure Certified in Prepare/Enrich Member of the Minnesota Association of Marriage and Family Therapy I have chosen not to work with insurance companies so that I can better protect the confidentiality of my clients. Insurance companies require that therapists share information like a client’s diagnosis and general progress notes. They can also impose restrictions on how long sessions can last. For those reasons I have decided that it is best for my clients and for the therapeutic process that insurance is not involved. I will provide a superbill upon request for those seeking reimbursement from their insurance.
