“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.” - Brené Brown Greetings! I am a Gestalt Therapist that specializes in Trauma, (i.e., PTSD, C-PTSD), Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Infidelity/Betrayal Trauma, Religious/Spiritual Abuse Recovery, and Adult Children of Parental Abuse and Neglect. My professional career also includes working with college students, associates and licensed therapists, LGBTQIA+, and academic professionals. I am trained in EMDR (working towards certification) and Brainspotting and integrate inner-child/parts work to deepen the therapeutic work and increase healing. I strive to create an emotionally safe environment to collaboratively explore your process and increase authentic awareness for sustainable change. I incorporate psychoeducation, mindfulness, identifying/increasing internal strengths, exploring/decreasing shame, and increasing self-reflection and attunement of your authentic self. My approach is grounded in intuitive exploration to assist with gaining awareness of automatic processes and internalized negative beliefs. I work with anxiety, depression, shame, avoidance patterns, attachment injuries, boundary violations, perfectionism, trust concerns, codependency, negative/self-deprecating thought patterns, and adult children of emotionally immature parents. I am aware of how intersectionality impacts a client's life and how oppressive systems influence emotional health. I am comfortable with processing righteous anger from individuals that have experienced repeated abuse from multiple environments (i.e, high controlled religions, parental abuse, family abuse, systemic oppression, and multi-generational abuse).
