Introduction

Transforming Senses, PLLC was formed by Na-Twan Allen, MA, LCMHCA, NCC. Na-Twan is local to the Triad and graduate of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Wake Forest University. Na-Twan loves working with individuals of all ages, but specifically works to assist in building family connections between caregivers and their children. Her experience counseling children and adults separately led her to love the interconnected nature of a healthy household, starting from pregnancy on. She is also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator that works to reshape parents ideas of discipline to be one that promotes mutual respect and understanding. Na-Twan uses a person centered approach with techniques that integrate Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Na-Twan's primary goal of her practice is to help people recognize their strengths and show up as their whole selves, no matter where they are.
