Hello! I’m Nastasia! Welcome to my online private practice—Hello Healed™. I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist with an edge, unapologetically doing what it takes to feel well, and help others do the same. Certified in Neuropsychotherapy (NPT-C), I use neuroscience to integrate the brain into treatment. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and relationships affected by trauma/PTSD. Different areas of the brain are responsible for the presentation of different symptoms. Using research in neuroscience, I target functions at the neuronal level. The mind, brain, and body are all connected and influence one another. Many structures and functions of the brain are plastic, with the potential for change. Neuroplasticity is the nervous system's ability to adapt and recover after traumatic events, allowing people to regain lost abilities. This process allows the brain to rewire itself and form new neural connections. Small changes repeated, frequently can rewire the brain and strengthen new neurons by creating new, healthy responses, overriding the wired-in responses caused by trauma. I help my clients sever the link between past trauma and current responses. I have received professional training/certification in neuropsychotherapy to promote brain change for the management of stress, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and moods. The most important thing you should know about me is… I’m a trauma therapist that knows when to put down the manuals, evidence, & interventions and really see the person in front of me—validate their pain, hurt, effort, and culture. It’s about seeing people past a diagnosis. I will be transparent. I have had my own very personal experience with trauma. I’m a trauma therapist, but I also know what it feels like to be the one sitting on the couch, and not in the chair. I too had to face and heal my own trauma. I understand the impact and complexity of healing mental health challenges. It’s why I have devoted my career and life to making sure those who want and need help, are able to access it. I appreciate the vulnerability of the person in front of me, so I fiercely honor it. I do so by making sure they have access to a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and understood—a space where they can connect from a secure base, and reestablish safe and positive relationships. I advocate for your right to lead your experience—to define your own well. For treatment to work, I adapt, personalize, empathize, and empower. —Nastasia Freeman, LMHC, LPCC, LPC, NPT-C Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul. - C.
