Welcome to Overstory Counseling A supportive space to help you manage anxiety, heal from trauma, and navigate life’s transitions with confidence. Hi, I’m Natasha Alvandi, and I specialize in helping people work through anxiety tied to big life changes and past trauma. Whether you’re starting a new chapter, recovering from a difficult experience, or navigating overwhelming thoughts, you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, process what’s holding you back, and build tools to help you move forward. • Are big transitions leaving you feeling stuck, uncertain, or afraid of what’s next? • Do “what ifs” or fears about repeating the past hold you back? • Are you struggling to trust yourself and others after trauma or during a major life change? Anxiety during and after life changes—like a career shift, breakup, or loss—can leave you feeling like you’re not enough or unsure of how to cope. But therapy can help you make sense of these feelings, break free from self-doubt, and uncover your strengths. Change doesn’t have to feel so overwhelming. How We’ll Work Together Therapy with me is a collaborative, supportive process where we’ll focus on understanding your anxiety, processing past experiences, and uncovering the strengths and resilience you already have. We’ll also explore how different parts of yourself might be reacting to stress or change, helping you build a more compassionate relationship with yourself. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including: • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Techniques: To challenge and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): To process trauma and reduce its hold on the present. • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)Techniques: To manage emotions and find balance in tough moments. • ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) Techniques: To face fears and reduce avoidance behaviors. • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Techniques: To align your actions with what truly matters to you. • IFS (Internal Family Systems) Techniques: To explore and understand the different parts of yourself and how they’re responding to anxiety, change, or past experiences. • Strengths-Based Therapy Techniques: To help you recognize and build on your existing abilities and resilience. Using these approaches, we’ll create a personalized plan to help you navigate anxiety, overcome obstacles, and embrace post-traumatic growth. Taking the Next Step Reaching out for therapy is a big step, but it’s one that can make all the difference. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can talk about what you’re experiencing and see if we’re a good fit. From there, we’ll plan your first session and begin working together. Feel free to email me at natasha@overstorycounseling.com, call me, or use the “Request an Appointment” link at the bottom of this page. If you don’t see a time that works, contact me directly—I may have additional availability. Let’s Build on Your Strengths Together You don’t have to face anxiety and change alone. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths, explore the parts of you that may feel stuck, and create tools to help you feel confident and calm as you move forward. Life’s transitions can lead to growth—and we’ll work to help you get there.
