Hi, I'm Natasha Ramnauth. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida. I am also a Qualified Supervisor for both licenses. My past work experience over the past 15 years includes inpatient mental health programs, community agencies, school-based prevention programs and at a local university as a counselor, supervisor, and adjunct Faculty member. I look at the anxiety and depression symptoms but also the underlying issues that cause these concerns. I focus on identifying strengths and building healthy coping skills to manage trauma triggers and life stressors. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I teach skills for clearer communication and focus on creating meaningful interactions with others. I use an integrative approach to therapy that draws on many different techniques and explores the underlying beliefs that keep you stuck. I work with various issues including self-esteem, equity issues, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, guilt and shame, stress, relationships, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma & life transitions. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma and Gottman level 1 and Gottman’s 7 principles for couples and families. I work well with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds and those who use natural, esoteric, and holistic health approaches. It's important that clients feel safe in counseling and foster this by being authentic during my sessions. I also support and challenge my clients to grow in their understanding of themselves and others.
