I am Nathan Hale and have been providing crisis counseling and psychotherapy services in the Bay Area for more than twelve years. I specialize in working with adults that struggle with mood problems (depression) and anxiety problems (social and general anxiety, phobias, stress and work-related stress). Doing this, I have seen people at their best and their worst. My work has spanned postgraduate, graduate and undergraduate work. This work has included working with individuals from many different backgrounds and experiences. I come from a culturally sensitive and respectful place, where your lived experience is truly a part of the work we do together. I work from an integrative style based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), using mindfulness and problem-solving techniques, and using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through this style of therapy, we can work on just what is currently bothering you and nothing more, or we can work more deeply to try to determine what may be the roots of what bothers you. We are an all virtual practice, so all appointments are conducted through HIPAA compliant Zoom links.
