I work from a trauma-focused perspective to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD and I also have experience working with addiction and co-occurring disorders. My view is that counseling therapy cannot be a cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all approach. I believe every client is unique and whatever issues they are facing are unique from their perspective. Because of that, I choose to practice an eclectic approach that draws from several theories and techniques including holistic concepts to help my clients achieve their treatment goals. I also believe every client deserves to be heard, experience unconditional positive regard, a sense of acceptance, belonging and being valued, and reasonable happiness. I consider my broad range of life experience and my compassion for people as two of my strongest attributes in being an effective counselor and I believe they help me to meet people on their level.
