I've always known I was meant to build a career that was focused on building connection, personal growth, community, and understanding. A few years ago, I found a way to do so while also utilizing my singer/songwriter background to allow for creativity within my practice. Through this I created J.A.L.U. J.A.L.U. stands for join, accept, learn, and understand. These four ideals are at the center of my work with my clients. I studied social work at Florida Atlantic University. I received my bachelors in social work in 2016, and my masters degree in Social work in 2017. Since then, I have worked in both Florida and Colorado, full time with individuals of all ages, families, and couples. As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients. I have an action oriented approach within my work that is built on unique treatment goals and my client's personal strengths. My main goal is to help empower my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. I currently focus on individual self growth and coaching with teens, adolescents, and young adults, and families. I specialize in work with defiant teens, who are struggling with self esteem and trust. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based perspective, and Motivational Interviewing, with a primary focus on the subconscious brain, mindfulness, and solution focused work. With my background in music, I tend to implement creative elements into my therapeutic interventions, which can range from music therapy, nature therapy, poetry, and art therapy. Through my experiences as a therapist, I have been able to create a format that follows J.A.L.U. in all of my treatment plans. Take a look at my blog for a more in-depth understanding. I look forward to helping you meet your goals!
