Nicole is passionate to welcome the opportunity for growth and self-discovery in the context of a safe, supportive, confidential, and therapeutic counseling relationship. Therapeutic gain and counseling are highly dependent on the relationship and trust built between the client and counselor. Nicole assists clients in identifying their meaning and purpose in life while discovering their authentic selves (who they really are.) In her practice, she uses an Eclectic, Holistic, Psychodynamic, and Humanistic approach incorporating Mindfulness, Existential, Attachment theory, Internal Family System Theory, and Polyvagal theory whereby clients find: 1.) greater compassion for themselves and others 2.) develop their self-esteem (awareness of one’s worth) 3.) increase their awareness and acceptance of the here and now 4.) improve their communication style 5.) heal from wounds/trauma Nicole is committed to helping clients alleviate the anguish created by anxiety through the exploration of stress, anger, trauma, grief and loss, all in the service of building greater resiliency toward a more fulfilling and peaceful life. Nicole believes we are all unique and in different states of awareness, transition, and healing. She assists clients in the pursuit of finding rest in life’s challenges whereby clients learn and practice how to live in the moment while pursuing their meaning and happiness. For some, Nicole may assist with the exploration of family history and/or trauma to invite healing and wellness. Another avenue and path in discovering purpose and meaning in life, for some, is deepening their relationship with God. A strong passion of Nicole’s is creating a safe environment for clients to explore faith, religion, and spirituality to find their deeper meaning in life.
