I love hearing other people’s stories and having the privilege to be a part of their journey. I believe we all face challenges and obstacles at some point in our lives and that working through these challenges helps us grow. I enjoy working with people to help them identify and clarify personal values, practice self-care, and work towards creating a healthy (and hopefully happy) lifestyle balance. I have experience working with clients who struggle with (but not limited to) addiction/substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders. I am particularly interested in issues specific to women, parents, and relationships. I primarily take a client-centered approach so that therapeutic techniques applied are meaningful to each individual. I often use motivational interviewing, CBT, and ACT/ mindfulness approaches. I also welcome creative approaches, such as music, art, and creative writing. I believe that we are all unique individuals, and for that reason, therapeutic interventions are most beneficial when they match the individualized needs of each person.
