Nicolette Covington is the owner of Pivotal Years, a private mental health practice located in Penn Hills, just outside of the city of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Stetson University and a Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience in supporting children and families in underserved communities. After years of dedicated work with non-profit organizations, Nicolette is now focused on giving back to the caregivers she values most. Through individual, family and group therapy sessions, she employs a trauma-focused approach, integrating principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and an eclectic range of techniques. This culturally informed comprehensive method addresses the root causes of generational trauma, empowering adult caregivers to become more effective and nurturing parents.
