Welcome to your Journey for Healing and Transformation My name is Nicolette Immediato, and I am honored to partner with individuals seeking to rediscover themselves in times of darkness. My therapy companion, Janelle, whose story of resilience and unconditional love inspires every soul she meets, joins me in this work. My journey into the world of mental health began with a deep knowing that my purpose was to guide others toward healing. This passion became my life’s work, leading me to pursue my Associate of Arts in Psychology from Central Florida College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science with a certificate in Behavioral Forensics from the University of Central Florida in 2011. Along the way, I engaged in meaningful research on the "Emotional Freedom Technique as an Intervention," exploring the intricate connection between mind, body, and energy. I then went on to earn my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in 2015. My training encompassed every level of care, from outpatient services to intensive residential programs, and nurtured my dedication to helping trauma survivors and those battling substance use. After graduation, I worked in acute care, specializing in Intake and Utilization Review, before earning my license as a mental health counselor in 2017. A Lifelong Commitment to Growth As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have embraced the philosophy that healing is both an art and a science. My work is grounded in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy, modalities that weave evidence-based practices with deep compassion and intuition. Yet, my dedication to growth has led me to expand my expertise through specialized training in various areas. I have studied military and first responder cultural competency, suicide prevention strategies, and the psychological impact of moral injury, gaining profound insights into the unique challenges faced by these communities. My exploration of the mind-body connection includes work on circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders and integrating Jungian dream strategies with EMDR, uncovering new dimensions of subconscious healing. I incorporate integrative couples and sex-informed approaches to help patients with their relationships and navigate challenges, improve communication, and deepen their intimacy and bond. Meanwhile, my yoga teacher training and tarot training have opened doors to blending spiritual practices with psychotherapy, offering patients a space to explore their healing journey through science and intuition. Janelle: A Guiding Light Janelle’s journey is a testament to the power of transformation. Rescued as a young dog after being abandoned on a roadside, she was gifted to me as I prepared to open my private practice. Janelle’s story resonates with many patients —an inspiring reminder that we can rediscover love and trust even after rejection and hardship. After earning her Canine Good Citizen award, Janelle became integral to the practice. She welcomes patients with gentle enthusiasm, often sensing what they need in the moment, whether it’s a comforting presence or a playful nudge. Her warmth embodies the unconditional acceptance and resilience that are central to the healing process. Our Mission Janelle and I are deeply humbled by the trust our patients place in us. Healing is a ripple effect, beginning in the heart of one individual and radiating outward to touch families, communities, and beyond. Together, we create a sanctuary where patients can explore their inner worlds, reconnect with their own magic, and step into lives of greater peace and authenticity.
