Introduction

CREATING PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION Are you feeling stuck, stressed, or anxious? Do you or your child need help to improve confidence, make new friends, or cope with your current life circumstances? Are you going through a life transition and would like extra support? I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, adults, moms, and families who are working through a life transition (school, family, friendship), anxiety, COVID related anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, poor communication skills, family conflict, relational struggles, and difficulty connecting and making friends. Prior to private practice, I served adolescents in a top eating disorder residential program, Center for Discovery in Glenview. There, I provided therapy for eating disorders, self-esteem, body image, life skills & assertiveness training. I've also provided crisis evaluation and therapy in inpatient care for adolescents and families at Alexian Brothers. I volunteered for more than 7 years leading small groups for teen girls to empower them to live their best lives, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. Current Group Offerings: *TEEN GIRLS PROCESS GROUP* Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm This group is an open & safe space for high school girls to support each other and process through many of today's "hot topics" such as anxiety, depression, school stress, friendships, body image, self esteem, healthy communication, social media, etc. This group allows girls to connect through mutual struggles, offer support to one another, as well as learn clinical tools to help them survive & thrive–not only the challenges of today, but for their adult life ahead! **New clients are currently being added to the group-please contact me for more information.** Taking the first step to seek out help can feel scary! I strive to create a comfortable, safe, empowering, and creative environment where you can work towards your unique goals. If you want tools to manage stress, improve confidence & be the best version of yourself, I have the passion, experience, & skills to help you live life to the fullest! Together we can work towards creating progress, not perfection! Meet Nikkie MS, LCPC, Owner www.creatingprogress.net
