Like my clients, I dream of and strive for a world where people are treated with kindness, respect and dignity. I help my clients process their past experiences, change negative thought patterns, uncover their natural strengths, find self-acceptance and connection, and make choices they take pride in. I believe that therapy is a safe place to learn about and be your true self. I believe in the healing power of connection. Through our work together, my hope is that you feel comfortable sharing your story, you feel valued and heard, and that you know you are not alone. I am empathetic, genuine, and nonjudgmental. As your therapist, I will be your ally and advocate. In therapy, we will spend time learning about what matters to you, what guides you, and what obstacles you may be facing. We will explore past experiences to understand how they may be showing up in current relationships with others and in your relationship with yourself. We will come to a greater understanding of your inner struggles and develop tools you can use on your journey towards personal healing and growth. I offer insights based on psychoeducation and incorporate therapy techniques based on your goals. Most importantly, you will have a space where you can discover and be your authentic self, feel supported, and learn skills to help navigate emotions, experiences, and relationships. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self-defeating thought patterns, family and relationship issues, codependency, healing from abuse and trauma, and obsessive compulsive disorder. I incorporate a combination of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral, existential, humanistic, narrative, psychodynamic, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and family systems therapy, as well as Prepare/Enrich assessments for couples. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a board-certified therapist, licensed as an LPC and a nationally certified counselor. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Licensed Practicing Counselors Association of Georgia. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for couples therapy. I have provided both inpatient and outpatient therapy at Ridgeview Institute and have interned at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Child Protection Center. If you are struggling with depression, overwhelmed by anxiety, trying to navigate relationships, seeking to understand your past experiences, recovering from abuse, or trying to find a feeling of belonging and connection, I hope that you reach out. Please feel free to contact me for a brief phone consultation to determine if I may be a good fit as a therapist. I look forward to speaking with you.
