Tricia is originally from Pennsylvania. Throughout her life she has traveled extensively, studying and gaining appreciation for the influence that culture has on individuals and groups. Previous experience includes employment as a social worker, a teacher, a research assistant and as a minister. Tricia is warm, friendly, a good listener and enjoys helping others find new perspectives. She earned a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. In sessions, Tricia treats individual adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, change of life issues, and issues relating to relationships as well as those who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse. She also has a special interest in treating clients with psychogastroenterological symptoms (the brain gut connection) and coping with chronic medical conditions. Preferred treatment methods include EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. As a lifelong learner, she is always researching and learning more about evidence-based therapies to use with her clients.
