I am a licensed psychotherapist with an office in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. I have a masters in counseling psychology from Regis University in Denver and over 17 years of professional experience. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, LGBTQ and ADHD issues. I work with couples, individuals, and parents and their children. I draw on a number of schools of thinking, including existential, interpersonal, client-centered, cognitive and humanistic. Put simply, I see my job as helping my clients gain access to resources they already have within them – so they can grow into the people they want to be. I have particular experience in ADHD (having lived and effectively coped with it for the better part of my life). I work with children and adults to help them develop techniques to manage their everyday lives, as well as overcome the psychological baggage that living with the condition can create. Although straight, I have a substantial LGBTQ practice. Before going into private practice I was a group facilitator for a gay, bisexual and questioning support group and I started a psychotherapy group for HIV positive men.
