A lifetime of experience as a military spouse, living in different countries, and navigating through other cultures has provided me with an understanding that perspective is everything. Since my studies began in psychology I have been drawn to the study of trauma and how it affects each person it touches. Because of this I have pursued training from the Trauma Research Foundation (Certificate in Traumatic Studies) and CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide) and am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Because trauma can be a result of many experiences, I have also acquired training in grief, abusive relationships, personality disorders, anger, and child focused therapy. With each client, I take a very client centered approach to find the most effective treatment for each individual.
