Perspectives Counseling is client-centered psychotherapy practice, begun by Abby Leefer LCSW-R. Abby has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1989. At Perspectives, we believe in taking a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, treating each case individually. No two people are the same, meaning no two people will have the exact same struggles, nor will they require the same treatment. We employ a variety of techniques and strategies in working with clients; including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic theory, family systems including Structural Family Therapy, and most importantly, Rogerian-based humanistic treatment. Our therapists specialize in wide spectrum of issues, including substance abuse, life transitions, domestic violence, blended families, LGTBQ+ issues, trauma and mood disorders. Our therapists strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment in which a client can speak about and explore their feelings and work with them to understand themselves, their struggles, and how to make any changes they may seek. We also help clients in growing towards self-acceptance and learning to come to terms with factors in their lives that they cannot change
