Thank you for taking time to read about my practice. I concentrate on adolescents and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, motivation, and transitions. My background and training is with utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and have past experience working in intensive outpatient treatment, in-home outreach, and community group practice settings. Outside private practice, I serve as adjunct faculty and as a Counseling Specialist for CSU Northridge, where I facilitate trainings for students/faculty/staff across campus on socio-emotional factors that impact academic success. The foundation of my work is creating a trusting and open environment to connect and establishes new paths to move forward. My hope is to create a relationship derived from connection and compassion to support in achieving goals. Often, the first step towards change is the most difficult. My hopes is to connect, and with establishing a helpful environment, move towards a situation that is healthier, happier, and more connected with the things and people we love.
